Subject Matter of this Supplementary Data Protection Declaration
The purpose of data processing on this website is to provide and run the 2018 advent calendar and to provide information about the products and services our company offers, together with the opportunity for users to get in touch with our contact partners in a targeted way.
We otherwise process personal data in accordance with the following legal bases:
- Article 6 (1) point a) of the GDPR for the processing of personal data with the data subject’s consent.
- Article 6 (1) point b) of the GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data to fulfil a contract with the data subject and to carry out relevant precontractual measures.
- Article 6 (1) point c) of the GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data to meet a legal obligation that we are subject to pursuant to any applicable laws in the EU or in a country in which the GDPR applies either in whole or in part.
- Article 6 (1) point f) of the GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data to safeguard our legitimate interests or interests of third parties, provided the fundamental freedoms, rights and interests of the data subject do not outweigh ours. Legitimate interests particularly include our business interests of being able to operate our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims and compliance with other legal regulations.

Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR provides the legal basis for processing the data following registration for the newsletter by the user, where consent has been given by the user to do so.
Section 7 (3) UWG [German Law Against Unfair Competition] provides the legal basis for sending the newsletter as a result of purchasing goods or services.
3. Purpose of data processing
The user’s e-mail address is stored for the purpose of sending the newsletter.
The purpose of collecting other personal data during the registration process is to prevent misuse of the services or the e-mail address used.
4. Storage period
The data is erased as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. The user’s e-mail address is therefore stored until such time as the newsletter subscription is cancelled.
Other personal data collected during the registration process is usually deleted after a period of seven days.
5. Objection and deletion options
The user may cancel his/her subscription to the newsletter at any time. Each newsletter contains a corresponding link for this purpose.
This link also provides an option for you to withdraw your consent to the storage of the personal data collected during the registration process.
Participation Advent Calender
Should you wish to register for the advent calendar, we will need some of your personal details. The legal basis is Article 6 (1) point b) of the GDPR. Please make sure to insert your correct personal data, otherwise we will not be able to contact you in case of winning. Especially make sure to insert the correct e-mail address, otherwise you will not be able to receive our regularly updates regarding the calendar.

Should we ask you for further details, you must provide us with these. Input fields that concern voluntary information are marked accordingly.
We only collect the personal details that you provide us with of your own volition; personal information will never be collected without your knowledge.

Once you have registered for the advent calendar, we will use your data in order to personalize your future visits, e.g. in order to contact you in case of winning. The data will be stored for the duration of the contract and deleted after the end of the term of the Advent calendar.
User and Game Data, Publication of Prize Winners
By registering for the advent calendar, you give us permission to use certain game related data (e.g. Recognition in the calendar) for the purposes of the calendar.
Forwarding of Data to Third Parties
Should it be necessary to forward your personal data to third parties in order to provide our services or as a result of organisational processes, we will only pass on the data that is absolutely necessary for the specific purpose. Such third parties are also bound by the data protection regulations, data protection secrecy and confidentiality.
Service providers that work for us in the context of order data processing are not to be regarded as third parties within the meaning of the above paragraphs. Nevertheless, they are bound by data protection regulations, data protection secrecy and confidentiality; in addition, they are subject to our instructions when providing us with their services.

They are obligated to comply with legal data protection provisions and to maintain confidentiality; they are also subject to our instructions for their work.
In the event of winning a prize, the respective personal details necessary for the provision of the prize will be passed on to the respective cooperation partners ; the data will be stored by them until the provision of the prize is complete.

Within the scope of service provision for special domains, we engage service providers committed to confidentiality and data protection whenever the access to personal data may not be excluded. The categories of recipients include: computer centers, advertising agencies, software developers with access to the platform.
Storage of Data
Insofar as there exists no statutory obligation for the temporary storage of data, all personal information collected in connection with the game will be deleted after the game has ended, the winners have been informed and the prizes have been awarded.
